I had an acai bowl one weekday morning at D.Bowls Acai Bondi, tucked just inside a small street near Bondi Beach.
It’s mainly a takeaway spot, so I grabbed my bowl and walked straight to the beach — sitting by the ocean while eating made the experience even better.
What I Ordered
I ordered a small-size acai bowl with extra peanut butter, topped with banana, granola, and strawberries.
Taste & Balance
The flavor was beautifully balanced — not overly sweet, but fresh and refreshing.
The granola was nicely nutty, and the peanut butter was the real highlight.
I heard it might be homemade, and honestly, it tasted incredible. Highly recommended.
Even though it was a small size, adding peanut butter made it surprisingly filling.
It felt like a proper, healthy meal rather than just a snack.
Atmosphere & Experience
You can see the ocean right from the shop, and eating it by the beach was easily my favorite part.
Even on a weekday, there was a steady flow of customers — it’s Bondi, after all — but there was no long wait or line.

The small acai bowl with peanut butter cost around $18.
For Bondi prices and an acai bowl this satisfying, it felt reasonable — definitely something I’d enjoy occasionally.

Perfect if you want a light but filling, healthy meal, especially after a walk or swim.
The banana and peanut butter give you that healthy fullness, and enjoying an acai bowl while looking out at Bondi Beach just feels right.
